Financial support

A limited number of stipends for students/young fellows (below age 35) is available in order to facilitate them to attend ISSS-12 School & Symposium. To apply for a stipend please:

check the I apply for ISSS-12 stipend check box in the registration form,

and send

a brief letter of motivation (one page maximum),
a support letter of your supervisor or the head of your department/lab (one page maximum), and
a scanned copy of your student card (if applicable)

These documents are essential for granting a stipend.

The stipend amount of 9000 CZK (about 340 EUR - see the exchange rates here) covers local expenses: The ISSS-12 student registration fee, accommodation for the entire ISSS-12 (school + symposium) in the student dormitory, local public transportation and three meals daily.
Successfull applicants will be selected by the IPC and notified by May 25, 2015 (we are sorry for extending the deadline).
Please note that for those who receive the stipend participation on the entire ISSS-12 event (both the School & Symposium) is binding!

Students, who are not granted a stipend will be charged the ISSS-12 registration fee of 4000 CZK for the entire event (School+Symposium) or 3200 CZK for the School only, and will have to carry the expenses for their accommodation, alimentation and transportation on their own. This additional local expenses represent amount of approx. 5000 CZK in case of cheap accommodation in the students dormitory, but for staying at hotels it can be significantly higher.
