Tumbling Asteroids
This is a list of characteristics of tumbling asteroids (NPA rotators)
derived from their lightcurve and/or radar observations. The listed values
are the best published estimates of the system's parameters as well as
unpublished results included with permission of the authors. The list
is ordered according to their PAR codes (see the reference below).
A complete list of PAR codes for asteroids we have investigated so far
is available here.
This list is created with a primary intention to give an overview of
the NPA rotators parameters and to summarize data for statistical analyses
of the NPA rotators population.

Explanation of symbols:
log &taunorm | = log(&tau/4.5 b.y.). Logarithm of the damping time scale normalized to the age of the Solar System |
P1, P2 | Most significant periods derived from the lightcurve and/or radar observations |
A | Amplitude of the lightcurve |
strongest f's | Linear combinations of the main frequencies (fi=1/Pi) with the strongest signals in the lightcurve |
H | Absolute magnitude |
D | Mean diameter or dimensions |
Orb. Type | MB - Main Belt |
Observations | Lc - Lightcurve; Ra - Radar |
Further Apparitions | Listed are apparitions until 2010 in which the asteroid reaches V=17 or less or approaches to the Earth to 0.2 AU or less,
providing a favorable opportunity for lightcurve or radar observations, respectively. |
